Operational Buyer (Eindhoven)

Additive Industries is growing fast since its metal additive manufacturing system MetalFAB1 is well received in the market. The Supply Chain team is responsible for procurement, supplier quality and logistics. We are currently scaling our Supply Chain team in order to sustain the ambitious growth path of our company. Therefore, we are looking for an Operational Buyer to strengthen the team.
As Operational Buyer, you own a set of products which are procured from suppliers. You take care of a smooth supply to the manufacturing operation and spare parts inventory, while ensuring that there is minimal inventory against minimum costs.
As Operational Buyer you are responsible for the procurement of a defined set of products, consumables and services for the manufacturing process and spare parts. You contact and negotiate with suppliers to get quotations and lead times. You make supplier selections and place purchase orders. After placing the purchase orders, you monitor the timely supply of the orders. In case of material shortages and/or overdue orders, you are persistent in finding creative solutions. You make supplier evaluations according to the QLTC method and process any warranty claims and recall actions. Furthermore, you take care of the inventory management of your set of products. You coordinate the phase-in of new product and phase-out of obsolete products. You are looking for opportunities to reduce procurement costs and improve the delivery performance of suppliers. You are also searching for options to enhance the procurement process e.g. by setting system parameters in the ERP System (Dynamics NAV).
The Operational Buyer reports to the Supply Chain Manager.
Knowledge and experience
Education: A Bachelor degree in Technology Management, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or similar. NEVI 1 is a preference.
You have a track record of at least five years in procurement, preferably in an industrial environment. You have affinity with technology and high-tech environments. You have developed a good understanding of the different elements of a supply chain and how these work together. You are a good communicator (in Dutch and English), both verbally and in writing. You are proficient in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel). You have experience with an ERP system (e.g. SAP or Dynamics NAV). You are able to set priorities in times of high workload.
